I'm Kate, and I'm a fan of all things fitness. I began a life long love affair with running over three years ago, and it has changed my life in so many positive ways. I knew it was time for a change, so I started working out. I began by running a few days a week and in August of 2011, I ran my first 5k, then my first 10k, then in October of 2011, my first Half Marathon. And the rest is history…

I strive for balance in my life, so when I'm not running, I cross train with yoga, the elliptical and spinning...
And as much as I love working out, I love food more. I didn't really start seeing changes with my body until I learned how to control portions. I now follow the 80/20 rule. I eat healthy 80% of the time and not so healthy 20% of the time. And that's a-okay.
